My Favorite

Friends

I will use this page to highlight one of my favorite poems that has been posted some time ago, but you may or may not seen it.

This being the first week for this blog – I am going to start with one that has a special place in my heart – a poem that I wrote for our son Rohan. Rohan was 1 year old when I wrote this.

Rohan is our first born. Becoming parents is always a powerful emotional experience. When you are an NRI, this experience takes you back to your own childhood and makes you think of your new born and the new environment that he will be raised in. This poem contains a powerful mix of cultural and generational dilemas faced by most NRI parents.

Enjoy!
